Haus der Berliner Festspiele – Kassenhalle  Designed by Fritz Bornemann in 1963, the Kassenhalle originally functioned as a transitional space for ticketing and entry.
The room has been reconfigured into a multifunctional, independently operating cultural space, with the possibility of being used separately from the main building when required. A centrally placed element integrates the two main functions BAR and STAGE while reorganising the proportions of the room.
Its geometry and functionality reference the former turntable once used for issuing tickets. Like a rotating stage set, the new structure is modular and adaptable, allowing for rapid reconfiguration to suit a variety of events.
